S4F Inspiration Circle - Funding: Tales and Nightmares

The S4Fashion consortium invites all selected projects and their projects’ team members as well as the broader S4Fashion community to a series of inspiring talks and networking events. The S4F Inspiration Circles aim to showcase the S4F pilots, share best practices, and encourage interaction among all members of the circular and sustainable fashion ecosystem.
This event will be hosted by Ingrid Willems from DataScouts and will feature two keynote speakers:
Hannes Schoenegger, born in Innsbruck, Austria is co-founder and CEO of swiss bag brand QWSTION and its «spin-off» company Bananatex®. QWSTION makes bags from plants since 2008, combining functionality and timeless design with the smallest ecological and biggest social footprint possible. The efforts have been honoured with several international awards for outstanding material development and sustainability solutions. Bananatex® is a Cradle to Cradle Gold Certified® material.
Dr. Raquel Prado, Head of Research and Sustainability at AA. She has has a background in Chemistry & a PhD in renewable materials engineering. Her academic research had been focused on sustainable chemistry applied to biorefinery processes in institutions as University of Basque Country and Imperial college of London, she has supervised PhD and master students. Her role at Ananas Anam, supervise and manage the research projects along the company and she works in the whole supply chain to reduce the environmental impact of the process. She prepares documentation for certifications and links with Academia research groups in the UK and in Spain.
